Farmer Pro Release Notes – July 2021

Enhancement Summary

  • Online – Expand yield cleaning check for vehicle type to include “Harvester”
  • When running yield cleaning in the system, a vehicle needs to be attached to the task to successfully run the yield clean. We have added to the allowed vehicle types to include “Harvester”. Below is the updated list of vehicles that we allow to be attached to a task when running yield cleaning:
    • Combine
    • Cotton Harvester
    • Forage Harvester
    • Grape Harvester
    • Sugarcane Harvester
    • Harvester
  • Mobile – (iOS and Android) – Improve message when deleting “zone zero” in the mobile app
    • We have additional clarification in the mobile app when driving or drawing a new zone. During this process, a zone zero is automatically created by the system but it does not make it clear that it was automatically created, or why it was created. Now, when you select zone zero and try to delete it, we have added a pop up dialogue to prevent the user from unknowingly removing it.

  • Online – Improve messaging around API connection error
    • We have improved the messaging about invalid credentials for the API connection, giving the customer a clear explanation on why the login has failed.

Bug Fixes

  • Mobile – (Android) – App crashes while switching between material and main tab on session
    • It was reported that when switching between the materials tab back to the home page on the mobile app, the app would crash and then re-start.
    • Fix: This has been corrected and users are no longer experiencing app crashes when switching between these pages.
  • Mobile – (Android) – App crashes when opening any tile from field details before map is ready
    • When in the mobile app under the field details tile, if you clicked on any other tile before the map had completed loading, the app would crash.
    • Fix: This has been corrected and the app no longer crashes when selecting a tile under field details before the map has finished loading.
  • Online – Retroactive emails for hail/weather alerts
    • For a brief time, users with a Premium Weather license were not receiving their daily weather alert emails. Once we resolved that issue we retroactively sent out the weather alert emails that they did not receive during this outage.
  • Online – Retired field boundaries still displaying as active on Farm Map
    • There were several reported cases of fields that had been retired in the system but their boundaries were still displaying under the Farm Map.
    • Fix: This has been corrected and the retired field boundaries are no longer displaying on the Farm Map
  • Online – Farm Documents uploaded with images do not show
    • When uploading a document under the “Documents” tab in the software, if there was an image inside of the document, the image would not display correctly.
    • Fix: This has been corrected and images in the document now display as expected.
  • Online – Acres on ADS field boundary page
    • We have updated the UI for the ADS boundaries page to include the current acreage of that boundary. It was reported that some customers were using this page to edit/update their boundaries, but they were unable to see the updated acreage of that boundary.
    • Fix: We have gotten this UI updated so the current acreage of the boundary will display on this page. This keeps things consistent with the other pages where you can currently add or edit your field boundary in the system.
  • Online – Events in new Field Manager not feeding into “Farm Event Summary” report
    • It was reported that some activities created under the new Field Manager were not feeding into the “Farm Event Summary” report. It was determined that this was happening because there were no materials assigned to these activities. For activity types such as mechanical, or tillage, there would realistically be no materials assigned to these tasks.
    • Fix: We have updated the logic so that all activities will feed into the “Farm Event Summary” report even if there are no materials associated with the activity.
  • Online – Crop missing in Projected and Actual report export
    • It was reported that when exporting this report to a CSV, there was missing header information in this file, specifically the crop type.
    • Fix: This has been corrected and all relevant headers are showing as expected when exporting this report to a CSV.
  • Mobile – (iOS and Android) – Adjust zoom level for viewing vehicle history
    • When viewing the location history for a vehicle, it was reported that as soon as you start to zoom out on the map, the location history would disappear from the map. The loss of vehicle history when zooming out was causing issues for some customers.
    • Fix: This has been corrected and the location history for a vehicle will still appear even after zooming out on the map.
  • Mobile – (iOS and Android) – Improve scouting stage options for Canola
    • We have gotten additional scouting stages added for Canola in our system. Under the crop stage of “flowering stage” we previously only had flowering 20%, 30% and 40%.
    • Fix: We now have the options for flowering 10%, all the way up to 100% as options for the crop stage.
  • Online – Tank Mix Work Order with water is not reflected on Work Order report
    • When using a Tank Mix in a Work Order and having water as a part of that Tank Mix, it was reported that the water would not be reflected on the Work Order summary.
    • Fix: This has been corrected and water will now be reflected on the WO report when using a Tank Mix
  • Online – UI Issue in GIS>Landmarks
    • Under GIS>Landmarks it was reported that if the customer had a long list of landmarks, the end of the list would get cut off unless you zoomed out on the browser.
    • Fix: This has been corrected and the list of landmarks no longer gets cut off.
